OPSEC, short for Operations Security, are procedures to protect yourself online.
- OPSEC is about minimizing attack surfaces and single points of failure through proper habits and policies.
- OPSEC includes INFOSEC, COMSEC, TRANSEC, SIGSEC, APPSEC, NETSEC and all counter-intelligence.
- Proper OPSEC requires you to understand your threat/risk model.
- To understand that, you must ask the questions, “Who is my adversary? What need protecting?”.
