opsec

OPSEC, short for Operations Security, are procedures to protect yourself online.

  • OPSEC is about minimizing attack surfaces and single points of failure through proper habits and policies.
  • OPSEC includes INFOSEC, COMSEC, TRANSEC, SIGSEC, APPSEC, NETSEC and all counter-intelligence.
  • Proper OPSEC requires you to understand your threat/risk model.
  • To understand that, you must ask the questions, “Who is my adversary? What need protecting?”.
